Overview
SellStack 365 Cannabis is integrated with Business Central 365 Cannabis via scheduled syncs. To ensure consistent storefront behaviour and data integrity, it's important to understand which data is controlled by the ERP and which can be safely customized or managed directly in SellStack Admin.
ERP-Controlled Data (Read-Only in SellStack)
The following data is managed exclusively in Business Central and will be overwritten during each sync. Admins should not attempt to edit this content directly in SellStack:
- Item Card Data: SKU, Product Name, Short Description
- Product Inventory: Quantity on hand, location assignment
- Lot Data: Lot code, expiry date, creation date, stock levels
- Customer Records: Business name, licence number, tax status
- Contact Records: User first name, last name, email (from ERP contact card)
SellStack Admin-Managed Data
The following fields can be customized, enriched, or managed independently in SellStack without risk of being overwritten by the ERP:
- Product Photos and Media
- Long Descriptions and Marketing Text
- Product Categories / Taxons
- Storefront Visibility Toggles (e.g., hide/show)
- Lot Visibility Settings and Attribute display configuration
- Lot Pricing Overrides (if pricing is managed in SellStack)
- Business Price Group Assignments
Shared or Conditional Fields
Some data points can be managed on either side depending on configuration. Coordination between ERP admins and storefront managers is essential:
- Pricing: May be controlled by ERP price lists or overridden at the Lot level in SellStack
- Product Activation: Items marked “Active for Web Order” in ERP are visible, but visibility can also be toggled per product in SellStack
Best Practices
- Use SellStack Admin for all customer-facing enrichment and presentation logic
- Use ERP for system-of-record data that affects compliance, licensing, or fulfillment
- Confirm with your implementation team if unsure which system controls a specific field
