Authorize.net Payment Gateway Registration & Configuration

Overview

SellStack 365 Cannabis supports Authorize.net for secure online credit card payments. Authorize.net provides real-time payment authorization and transaction processing for B2B and B2C storefronts.

Administrators can register a new Authorize.net merchant account via iTristan's partner program, then connect it to their SellStack instance using API credentials.

Step 1: Register Your Authorize.net Account

To register a new Authorize.net merchant account, use the official iTristan partner signup link below. This ensures your account is provisioned with the correct API capabilities for SellStack integration:

Step 2: Configure API Credentials

Once your Authorize.net account is active:

  1. Log into your Authorize.net Merchant Interface
  2. Navigate to Account → API Credentials & Keys
  3. Generate or retrieve your:
    • API Login ID
    • Transaction Key

Step 3: Connect Authorize.net to SellStack Admin

In your SellStack Admin panel:

  1. Go to Settings → Payments
  2. Select Authorize.net as the payment method
  3. Enter your API Login ID and Transaction Key
  4. Test the connection and save

Customer Checkout Experience

If Authorize.net is enabled as a payment method, customers will:

  • See Credit Card Payment as an option at checkout
  • Enter their card details directly into the SellStack secure payment form
  • Receive an immediate confirmation of authorization

Payment Status Behaviour

SellStack will automatically update order payment status based on real-time Authorize.net transaction responses (e.g. authorized, failed, declined). No manual admin action is required to confirm payment.

Important Notes

  • Authorize.net supports Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, and other major card types
  • Ensure that your merchant account settings match your storefront’s currency configuration (e.g. USD or CAD)
  • Chargeback management is handled through your Authorize.net dashboard
