An item's inventory in Dynamics 365 for each location can be viewed on the Items by Location page, while the total inventory for all locations can be found in the Inventory section of the Item Card. In this section, the Inventory field shows the total quantity of the product, and the Qty. on Sales Order field represents the reserved quantity. In SellStack, products have four inventory fields—two more than in Dynamics 365.

The product's item inventory field is set to the total inventory value imported from Dynamics 365. The product's item inventory reserved field is set to the higher value between Inventory and Qty. on Sales Order when importing data from Dynamics 365. In Dynamics 365, the reserved quantity can exceed the total quantity, but this behavior is not allowed in SellStack.

The product's on-hold field value is calculated by aggregating all lot reserved inventory values at the product level after data synchronization. If the product has no lot numbers (lot-agnostic product), the on-hold value is set to the item inventory reserved value. The on-hold value represents the product's reserved inventory in SellStack.

The product's on-hand field value is calculated by aggregating all lot inventory values at the product level after data synchronization. In the case of a lot-agnostic product, the on-hand value is set to the item inventory value. The on-hand value represents the product's total inventory in SellStack.

When determining a product's inventory availability in SellStack, the on-hold and on-hand fields are always considered, while the item inventory and item inventory reserved fields are auxiliary. However, in most cases, these values are equivalent.

Products with equal total and reserved inventory are considered out of stock and cannot be purchased, although they remain visible in the shop. The available product inventory is calculated by subtracting the reserved inventory from the total inventory. The product's total inventory can be viewed in the Admin panel by opening the product's editing form in the Inventory tab.

The Items by Location page can be accessed by clicking on the 'Related' option. Selecting 'Availability' options in the dropdown menu will open the Items by Location option.
