What Is Account Switching?

Some users in SellStack 365 Cannabis are assigned to more than one Business — for example, corporate buyers managing multiple licenses, or brokers acting on behalf of several clients. In these cases, users must select which Business context they are operating under before viewing the storefront.

How Users Switch Accounts

At login, if a user has access to multiple Businesses:

  • They are presented with a Business Selection Page
  • They must choose one active Business to enter the storefront
  • The selected Business determines pricing, available products, tax configuration, and ERP sync behaviour

Users may return to this selection screen at any time by clicking “Switch Business” in the account dropdown menu.

Admin Impersonation

Administrators can impersonate any user and view their storefront as it appears for a specific Business. This is helpful for verifying visibility, pricing, or channel assignments.

  1. Navigate to Admin Panel > Users
  2. Select the user to impersonate
  3. Choose the Business context (if multiple exist)
  4. Click “Impersonate” to launch the storefront in a scoped view

ERP Sync Notes

Business assignment is controlled primarily by the ERP system. If changes are made in Business Central (e.g., moving a contact from one customer card to another), they may override SellStack assignments during the next sync.

Access Limitations

  • A user must be explicitly assigned to a Business in order to access its storefront.
  • There is no “global view” — a user must select one Business at a time.
  • Users cannot move themselves between Businesses without admin approval.
