Multi-Entity Organizations (MEO) in SellStack 365 Cannabis Print

  • 0

Overview

SellStack 365 Cannabis supports Multi-Entity Organizations (MEOs) through a distributed instance model. Each 365 Cannabis Company (as defined in Business Central) is represented by a linked dedicated SellStack instance. These instances are fully isolated from one another to preserve compliance and configuration per jurisdiction, licence, or brand.

This model enables MEOs to operate multiple brands or jurisdictional or state-specific organizations independently, while still allowing centralized control and Single Sign-On (SSO)-enabled administrator access across the network of instances.

What Is a “SellStack Instance”?

Each instance of SellStack is tied to a single Company in Business Central 365 Cannabis. It contains:

  • Its own product catalogue, pricing rules, and inventory logic
  • A unique set of customer Businesses (Buyers) managed internally
  • Isolated admin permissions and storefront configuration

What Is a “Business” in SellStack?

Within a single SellStack instance, Businesses refer to the customer organizations — such as retailers, dispensaries, or wholesale partners — that place orders via the storefront. These are not the same as ERP Companies.

In short:

  • ERP Companies = Drive SellStack instances
  • SellStack Businesses = Customers of a single instance

SSO Across the MEO Network

Administrators with multi-instance roles can securely access all associated SellStack instances via Single Sign-On (SSO). This allows centralized oversight while maintaining per-instance isolation for jurisdictional compliance or brand autonomy.
